Authentication
Controlling who and what can interact with the system.
EXPLOREMost organizations run infrastructure built by different manufacturers, in different generations, on different protocols each exposing information its own way, through its own tools.
SYN takes information from different infrastructure systems, translates it into a common model, and makes the resulting environment understandable through one operational architecture.
A SYN Node provides telemetry directly into the architecture. Existing supported infrastructure connects through an adapter, which translates supported device information into SYN's common representation.
SYN NODE
Native telemetry source built for the SYN architecture.
THIRD-PARTY / AGENTLESS
Supported existing infrastructure, connected via adapter.
Adapters support specific tested infrastructure — not every device or protocol universally.
The SYN Asset Model creates a consistent representation for infrastructure that otherwise has nothing in common.
ATLAS is SYN/oS's operational interface a visual representation of asset identity, connectivity, status, telemetry, and relationships processed by SYN Core.

A simplified, illustrative simulation of how SYN represents an asset moving through connection states.
Current v1.0 development is focused on a defined, testable set of technical objectives not a finished or citywide production system.
SYN/oS is currently under active development by Aura Systems.
Infrastructure software requires careful consideration of how it authenticates, restricts, protects, and observes itself.
Controlling who and what can interact with the system.
Scoping what an authenticated identity is permitted to see or do.
Handling infrastructure data with appropriate care in transit and at rest.
Maintaining visibility into system activity for review.
Defining where SYN components can and cannot communicate.
Keeping evaluation and production environments separated.
Security is treated as an architectural requirement, not an interface feature.
Detailed security documentation can be reviewed during a technical evaluation. Implementation specifics are not published here.
A SYN evaluation is scoped deliberately — limited, isolated, and measured against criteria defined up front, not immediate access to critical infrastructure.
An isolated, non-production environment for initial setup.
Approved test assets and non-sensitive telemetry only.
Measured against success criteria defined before evaluation begins.
Findings reviewed jointly to determine next steps.
The long-term direction is expanding SYN's ability to understand increasingly complex infrastructure environments. This is not yet current functionality.
